Farm To City: "An Urban Bridge to Agriculture"

1315 Walnut Street

Farm to City is a Philadelphia-based program whose goal is to unite communities, families, and farmers year-round through good locally grown food. Bob Pierson, founder and director, speaks about his vision of a city connected to its region through its farmers and their crops. Such a city would provide healthy food to urban residents and economically support rural farmers in surrounding regions. Having started in 2001, Pierson and his staff have grown Farm to City into a network of 16 farmers markets throughout Philadelphia and nearby towns in less than 10 years. He is excited to continue expanding the organization and its impact.
