908 North 3rd Street

Built in 1924, this old commercial structure is now an artists' space. Note the custom metalwork, decorative brick patterns, and inset tiles on the facade — decorative elements not usually associated with commercial-industrial space. In 2003, a glassblowers' collective, Philadelphia Glass Works, renovated half of the building and created galleries, studio, and retail space for its member artists. The other half is of 908 North 3rd is home to Fury Design.
