944 South 9th Street

Retired chef Joe Talluto opened his first homemade ravioli store in Southwest Philadelphia in 1967. He was so successful that he expanded his business to include a large off-site pasta-making facility and four retail locations across the greater Philadelphia region. Since the 1980s, Talluto's has sold its freshly made pasta and cheese and other Italian specialties from this 9th Street corner store that was once Campo's butcher shop and slaughterhouse.
